Welcome to my website. If you're here, you probably already know who I am. But if you don't, my name is Sarah Jane Wacksmuth Tyrchniewicz. I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan but I currently live in Ohio. My husband (Mike) and I live with our two cats (Cicero and Oberon) in a house in Springboro, a smallish town south of Dayton. We ended up here because I was lucky enough to get a job immediately after I finished my masters degree in Dayton. Mike's work had a location just a few miles south of where I was working and so he transfered. We were married shortly after. We were joined down here by my friend Kara and her boyfriend John.

Kara and I both work for Elsevier as Human Factors Engineers on the User Centered Design Group. What does that mean? Well, it's our job to make Elsevier's products more usable. We work with our customers to design better interfaces. It's a little web design, a little programming, a little visual design, an just a touch of psychology all rolled into one.

That being said, this website is my playground. I will be experimenting on this site a bit, so please do not take it as the definitive guide to how to build a "usable" website. This is fun, not work (though hopefully the skills I develope here will help me there).

So, look around. This place will continue to grow. As it does, you can get to know me a bit. In any case, thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy yourself.
