Happy Birthday Cicero! You've just turned 4 years old! :)

Yay for my baby, of whom you can see many many pictures in my gallery.

I so rarely have a good picture of Oberon, our handsome black kitty with the bedroom eyes. He is so incredibly handsome but isn't as photogenic as Cicero. Mom managed to capture this one a while back. So far, it's probably the best Obe picture we have. Enjoy!

Here's my second painting. I think he looks like he's not wearing any skin. Zombie-ish...

Ok, so everyone who knows me knows that I love Battlestar Galactica. Everyone ALSO knows that I have a strong attachment to the character of Kara Thrace. Well, in the grand tradition of good series everywhere: They Frakking killed my girl!!! And she killed herself, which makes me love her even more and it also totally sucks because this character needed to go out swinging.

I just listened to the first podcast I've ever listened to for this show. Ron Moore - right now I hate you (I'll get over it but right now I'm really mad). I am even more convinced after listening to the podcast that this is it, she's not coming back (though people do on these shows all the time). I'm angry that they kept talking about Kara's "destiny" and they never followed through with it. I'm angry that it's not the death of "Starbuck" but of "Kara Thrace" which means "blam! She's totally dead." And I just frakking can't believe they did this. Even more creepy was that they dedicated this episode to "Sarah". No, they didn't mean "me" - it was just creepy because it could have been (I guess I was active on the wrong boards). But for those of you who knew the real Sarah that they are refering to, I am very sorry for your loss. They couldn't have dedicated a better episode.

To Katee Sackhoff - Wow! I am going to miss you so much! I can't imagine what you thought when they told you they were doing this. I hope sometime they let you give an interview and you can talk all about it because right now it seems that they've got duct tape plastered all over your mouth. Thank you for the last three years. Seriously, I am a blubbering fan right now (my husband's laughing at me getting too emotionally attached to characters on television shows - but thank you for creating a character that was worthy of being attached to).

I have to say I have two favorite parts of this episode: the first is when Kara and Lee are talking under the viper. I was happy to see that and I think many people will be able to identify with it. The second was Edward James Olmos and his smashing the ship. When he started to cry, I frakking lost it. And then to find out that was a museum quality ship insured for hundreds of millions of dollars?!? Holy frak! But serious kudos to both EJO and Jamie Bamber. Excellent.

Should any BSG people actually see this, I love you all. And please... don't kill the Chief or Helo or you really will rip me to pieces (not that you haven't already).
